GROWLERS ADVANCE TO CLEAR CUP FINAL

Okay, alright, listen up! We got ourselves a barn burner brewin' here! The McCall Mountaineers, they already punched their ticket, right? They're sittin' pretty, waitin' for the other fella. Now, we had to head down to sunny California, Sonoma County to be specific. To see who'd be joinin' 'em in the Clear Cup Finals! You got the Santa Rosa Growlers and the Breckenridge Vipers goin' at it!

And let me tell ya, both Friday and Saturday? Sold OUT! Packed to the rafters! You know what that means, eh? Good old-fashioned, hard-nosed hockey! The kind where you gotta dig in the corners and finish your checks! No room for softies here!

Now, the regular season, yeah, that went the Growlers' way. But playoffs? Playoffs are a whole different animal! It's a fresh sheet of ice, anything can happen! But you just KNEW we were gonna get two good old school hockey games!

First game, BAM! Eight minutes in, the Growlers, they got a tic-tac-toe play, beautiful passes, and Conway buries it! Snoopy Ice Centre goes nuts! Two more before the end of the first! 3-0 Growlers! But hold on a minute! That Vipers goalie, Englebert, he stood on his head in the second! Kept 'em in the game! Bailey snipes one to bring the Vipers back in this but its 3-1 Growlers after two. Still some life left! But then, in the third, Koulikousky and Wolford, they seal the deal! 5-1 Growlers! One more win, and they're off to the big dance!

Saturday night, same story kinda! Conway again, he's feelin' it, puts the Growlers up! But then Kaye for the Vipers, he bangs in a rebound and silences the crowd! But you can't keep a good team down! The Growlers, they kept comin', kept pressurin', and Wolford gets his second of the night! 4-1 Growlers after two!

The third period, the Vipers, they didn't quit, gotta give 'em that! They got a couple of consolation goals, but it wasn't enough! 7-3 Growlers take the series!

So there you have it, folks! It's the Santa Rosa Growlers against the McCall Mountaineers for the Clear Cup! Best of five! Winner takes all! These two teams, they were the best all year long!
